How to keep organized and clutter free house?

May 13, 2017

Keeping the house organized, is something most desired and at the same time the most difficult for us to achieve. It’s not a problem to clean up, the challenge is to maintain the order

There are two rules. First one is – ONE for ONE! All apartments and houses have limited space. Each object which we buy takes a bit of space in our house. If we buy more, this space is reduced and at the end we are drowning in a mess.

Therefore, the rule “ONE new thing for ONE old one” applies.

If you buy a new pair of shoes, because those you have are no more trendy – don’t keep them! There is a reason why you bought a new pair. The same goes for the other things.

When you buy new towels for your home, because the old ones lost their colors and became rough, get rid of them! Your baby got a new toy – select the toy which he or she (or s/he) no longer plays with.

Furthermore the mess starts with one small thing, which we don’t put off into a specific place. First, we have one pair of socks on the floor, then three and next we have our entire wardrobe. It is much easier to have a habit of putting off things instead of spending one day a week for tiding up.

Here you have a few examples from everyday life, which helps you to keep an order.

Do you use spices? – put them immediately into place. Don’t wait until your dish is ready.

Do you use oil? Put it back and continue to cook.

Do you brew a tea? Don’t throw the bag into the sink. Throw it directly into a trash bag!

When you unpack your groceries, immediately put everything into proper cabinets and the fridge.

When you put your groceries first on the table and then hide in cupboards, you waste your time!

The same applies to your clothes, mails, books etc.I don’t like to waste my time, I like to have my apartment clean. When I take something out, I put it back.

What about you?

MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS IS VERY EASY – ONLY WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS TO BE CONSISTENT AND DON'T PROCRASTINATE WITH WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW!
